  • 1 cup diced tomatoes Fresh or canned tomatoes can be used.
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to substitute with your favorite cheese.
  • 1/4 cup diced onions Red or white onions can be used.
  • 1/4 cup pickles, diced Use dill or sweet pickles based on preference.
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup Adjust amount to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons mustard Yellow or Dijon mustard works well.
  • to taste none Salt and pepper Season according to your taste.
  • to taste none Lettuce for serving Use iceberg or romaine for a crunchy finish.

Method

Cooking
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, stirring frequently for about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Once the beef is nicely browned, season it with salt, pepper, ketchup, and mustard to taste. Stir everything well until evenly mixed.
  3. Stir in the cooked rice and diced tomatoes to the skillet. Mix thoroughly and allow it to cook for about 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  4. Top the mixture with shredded cheddar cheese. Cover the skillet and let it sit on low heat for a minute until the cheese is melted.
  5. Remove from heat and scoop the cheeseburger bowl mixture into serving dishes. Top with diced onions, pickles, and fresh lettuce.

Notes

For lighter options, consider substituting ground turkey or chicken. Pre-cooked rice helps streamline the cooking process. Avoid overcooking the beef to maintain juicy texture.
