Preparation
- Blend the Oats: Place 1 cup of oatmeal into a blender or food processor and blend until you achieve a fine flour consistency.
- Mix with Water: In a medium-sized bowl, combine your oat flour with 1 cup of water. Stir well until you create a smooth batter.
- Preheat the Pan: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Lightly oil if desired, though they cook well without sticking.
Cooking
- Pour a ladle of the batter into the skillet, spreading it into a round shape. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until bubbles form and the edges look set.
- Flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.
- Transfer the cooked tortilla to a plate and repeat the process until all the batter is used.
Serving
- Enjoy your warm tortillas immediately, or let them cool for later use.
Notes
For flavor variations, consider adding spices like cumin or chili powder. To store, place leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze with parchment paper in between to prevent sticking.
