- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until it thickens, which should only take a couple of minutes.
- Once the pudding is thick, gently fold in the thawed whipped topping.
- In a rectangular dish, place a layer of graham crackers at the bottom.
- Spoon half of the pudding mixture over the graham crackers, spreading it evenly.
- Top the pudding layer with another layer of graham crackers.
- Spread the remaining pudding mixture over this second layer of crackers.
- Top with one final layer of graham crackers.
- Spread the chocolate frosting evenly over the top layer of graham crackers.
- Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Slice into squares and serve with optional toppings.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, use plant-based milk and toppings. For a different flavor, substitute vanilla pudding with butterscotch pudding. Make sure to allow pudding to thicken properly and fold in the whipped topping gently.
