10-Minute Garlic & Olive Oil Spaghetti

Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 200 g spaghetti Use your preferred type of spaghetti.
Garlic & Oil
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil Extra virgin olive oil recommended.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adjust according to taste.
Seasoning
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Freshly ground black pepper
  • optional Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a vigorous boil.
  2. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package directions until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
Cooking
  1. In a large frying pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Once the oil is warm, add the minced garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, being careful not to let it burn.
  3. Reserve about half a cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
  4. Add the drained spaghetti to the frying pan with the garlic oil.
  5. Stir the spaghetti to coat it evenly with the garlic-infused oil, adding reserved pasta water gradually if needed.
  6. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
Serving
  1. Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
  2. Enjoy your dish!

Notes

Leftover spaghetti can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days in the fridge. For longer storage, freeze for up to one month. When reheating, add a splash of olive oil or water to prevent drying out.
